Job description

Equivity, a leading provider of specialized virtual assistance services across the US, is seeking an experienced Corporate Law Paralegal to join our team. In this remote role, you’ll provide high-level legal support in corporate matters while working from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file forms and documents with government agencies and regulatory authorities.

  • Conduct legal research and review corporate documents such as financial records and ownership documents.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate regulations, including the Corporate Transparency Act.

  • Handle due diligence on corporate entities and maintain corporate records.

  • Draft corporate governance documents and assist in resolving compliance issues.

  • Coordinate with clients, attorneys, and regulatory authorities.

Job requirements

  • 3+ years of recent corporate paralegal experience in a law firm setting.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate law and regulations, including the Corporate Transparency Act.

  • Experience with regulatory authorities and corporate compliance processes.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Adobe, and legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, PC Law, MyCase).

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Tech-savvy with experience using legal software and conducting legal research.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Ability to respond to client requests within one hour during business hours (9 AM – 6 PM).

  • Quiet location for calls, a personal laptop, and a smartphone with broadband internet.
